The complaints about the CLAT 2025 results will be heard again by the Delhi High Court on April 9. The case is being handled by a division bench made up of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela. As the hearings continued on Monday, the bench said that the Consortium of NLUs should “have better paper setters in the future” to keep test mistakes like these from happening.

The Delhi High Court deliberated at a prior hearing on the petitioners’ objections to and subsequent withdrawals from certain CLAT UG 2025 test questions. The court told the lawyer for the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) that they had two weeks to file a reply statement.

CLAT PG Petitions to be Heard from April 21

The Supreme Court sent the group of cases to a split bench of the Delhi High Court so that there would be no clashing decisions in different areas of law. It was first thought that the case should be sent to the Punjab and Haryana High Court because that’s where the first challenge to the CLAT 2025 answer key came from.

Nevertheless, the Consortium of NLUs had previously requested that the Supreme Court handle all petitions pertaining to CLAT in a single sitting or direct them to a designated High Court. As a result of the risk of getting different decisions, the Consortium also wanted all CLAT 2025-related pleas from different High Courts to be sent to the highest court.

A candidate who went to the Delhi High Court told the bench that there were several cases waiting in different High Courts and that transfer applications would be made to the Supreme Court. According to the Consortium, both the aspirants and the court should not have gotten involved with the answer key matter earlier. They said that a single-judge bench shouldn’t have gotten involved since it was made by experts in the field.

CLAT 2025 Hearing: Revised results may impact candidate rankings and NLU admissions

It is likely that candidate ranks will change if the CLAT 2025 results are changed. Some people may get better honour positions after changes are made to the review, while others may see their places go down. Because NLU uses rank to decide who gets a seat and what the cutoff is, any changes to the results will have a direct effect on who gets in.

CLAT 2025 Hearing: The Candidate’s counsel challenges the validity of the UG question before the Delhi High Court

In front of the Delhi High Court, the lawyer for another CLAT UG 2025 candidate questioned whether one of the test questions was legal. The central focus of the argument is the accuracy of the question’s framing and evaluation.
