TNUSRB SI Recruitment 2025: What You Need to Know To Apply
- On or before the date of notification, candidates seeking the position of Sub-Inspector of Police must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a university recognised by the UGC or the government.
- The following patterns are required for the Bachelor’s Degree:
a) After completion of SSLC and Higher Secondary course in the order of 10+2+3 / 4 / 5 pattern or
b) After completion of SSLC and Diploma in the order of 10+3+2 / 10+3+3 pattern or
c) After completion of SSLC and 2 years ITI in the order of 10+2+3 pattern.
3. One more acceptable option is a Bachelor’s degree from a college, open university, or distance learning program. But the same procedure as indicated before should have been followed to earn an open degree.
However, applicants who skipped the 9th grade and went straight to the 10th or who passed the 11th grade but didn’t take the 12th are ineligible.
TNUSRB SI Recruitment 2025: Age eligibility
Age requirements as of July 1, 2025: applicants must be at least 20 years old but not yet 30 (i.e., born between July 2, 1995, and July 1, 2005).

Examination Fee
The registration fee for a departmental or open quota is ₹500. A candidate has to pay Rs 1000 as an examination fee ( in case they apply for both the Open Quota and the Departmental Quota).
Payment can only be made through Net Banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
TNUSRB SI Recruitment 2025: Selection process
Three parts make up the selection procedure for Tamil Nadu SI Recruitment 2025: general knowledge, psychology, and Tamil language.
Candidates’ physical fitness will be evaluated using the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) once they pass the written exam. The last step is an oral examination, sometimes known as a viva voce.
One hour and forty minutes will be given for the 100-point test, which will consist of 100 questions. Candidates must score 40% or above on the Tamil Language Eligibility Test in order to advance to the next phase.
Part B, which comprises the Communication Skills, Information Handling Ability, and Psychology exam, is administered to applicants after they have finished the General Knowledge exam, the primary test., Logical Analysis and Numerical Analysis. The written test will take place in the OMR Answer sheet.
