OSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025: The official announcement for the Combined Recruitment Examination 2025 for Group-C jobs in several Odisha government departments has been announced by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC). Educational Qualification
For the junior stenographer position in the Water Resources Department, a valid Basic Computer Skills certificate, a stenography certificate, and an HSC or equivalent are required.
Junior Stenographer (Advocate General, Odisha): Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, a shorthand pace of 80 WPM in both English and Odia, and proficiency in computer applications.
For the position of junior stenographer at the Directorate of Treasuries and Inspection, you need to have a basic understanding of computers, a speed of 80 WPM in both English and Odia, and a +2 examination in either arts, sciences, or commerce.
Appropriate education and computer proficiency are required for the position of junior grade typeist with the Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Services.
Certification in Basic Computer Applications, Typist-Scribe Assistant (Law Department): +2 exam or its equivalent, English typing speed of 40 WPM and Odia typing speed of 20 WPM
Limit on Age
Age requirements for the positions of Junior Stenographer (inside the Water Resources Department and Advocate General, Odisha) and Typist-Scribe Assistant are 21 to 32 years old as of 01 January 2025. The age requirement for the positions of Junior Grade Typist in the Prisons and Correctional Services and Junior Stenographer in the Directorate of Treasuries is 18–32 years.
