What is RGUKT IIIT? A Fast Track B.Tech Route
Part of RGUKT’s distinctive 6-year integrated B.Tech program is a 2-year Pre-University Course (PUC) and a 4-year Engineering curriculum. Graduates of SSC may skip the intermediate coursework and go straight into a professional degree program thanks to this new system. It is tailored to help defray the costs of a high-quality technical education for deserving students from rural areas who are pursuing academic excellence.

Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and IT comprise the foundational subjects of the 6-year program, which progresses to specialised B.Tech courses. A few examples are:

- The only places you can take Metallurgical and Materials Engineering are Nuzvid and R.K. Valley.

Eligibility Criteria for AP RGUKT IIIT Admissions 2025
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Have graduated from SSC (10th class) in 2025 from AP, Telangana, or a national board like CBSE or ICSE.
- Adhere to the regulations of AP/Telangana regarding local/non-local status.
- Do not fall under the supernumerary (25%) or non-resident Indian/other non-CIS (NRI/OCI) categories, or belong to Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.
Just a heads up: students enrolled in public schools will have an advantage in the selection process thanks to a deprivation score boost.

Additional one-time charges at admission include admission fee, caution deposit, insurance, and hostel charges totalling ₹4,200 (₹3,700 for SC/ST).
Selection Process & Reservation Rules
There is a 4% bonus for kids who attended public schools, and the selection is based on SSC results. This is the sequence in which subject-wise performance is evaluated in the event of a tie: English > Social > Language > Math > Science > Language. As per government regulations, reservations are strictly enforced, including:
15% from SC, 6% from ST, and 29% from BC categories altogether
Girls make up 33.3% of the total, EWS 10%, and PH 5%.
